Papers of Michael Wallace [manuscript], 1791-1897.

The papers pertain chiefly to Wallace's business affairs and the difficulties of his executor, Dr. Andrew Grinnan, in settling his estate. Most of the correspondence is business oriented but there are letters from sons and other relatives at the University of Virginia and some scattered references to national events. Assorted legal papers, 1791-1869, include indentures, wills, land deeds, surveys, and papers pertinent to the estate settlement. Miscellaneous items incude a temperance broadside.
